How Does Your 100% Money Back Guarantee Work?
We guarantee the quality of all the wines which we place on our website, and we offer a 100% money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the quality of your selected wine for any reason, we will either replace it with an alternative or provide you with a refund on your purchase.
If you are not satisfied with the quality of any wines received, we will refund or credit you (including the freight cost) an amount equal to the value of any unopened bottles you return plus one bottle. Please note that if more than one bottle of wine has been opened, Mates Wines will refund the cost of one bottle in addition to the unopened ones that have been returned.In the case of a mixed pack, we provide the replacement/return on a bottle by bottle basis.
All refunds are processed within 7 days of your request or from the date that the wines are returned to us. The guarantee is designed to give our customers complete peace of mind when making a purchase, and we will always honour the guarantee, but Mates Wines reserves the right to decline future orders from customers if they are judged to have been falsely taking advantage of the guarantee.
How are Mates Wines able to offer such low prices?
Mates Wines’ unique distribution model means we do not operate in any rented building, therefore keeping our overheads down, and we pass the savings on to you. We do not carry stock from importers or wholesalers – we buy only when we get an awesome deal that allows us to cut out the middle man and offer the best wines to you at the very best prices.
What is your minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity for the majority of the wines offered is a case of twelve bottles, although a select few varietals are available in packs of six. See our individual product listings to confirm the minimum quantity for each product.
Can you guarantee supply of all the wines on your website?
Mates Wines’ unique business model employs a strategy known as spot buying. This allows us to acquire premium wines at advantageous prices, and we pass the savings on to you. However, due to the limited nature of these purchases, there may be rare instances where a particular vintage runs out of stock. We do our best to ensure that our inventory systems are up to date, and if we are not able to supply the wine of your choice, we will contact you to either refund your purchase or arrange a suitable replacement.
What are your delivery rates?

What are your delivery times?
Depending on the distance of delivery, the delivery date may vary between 2 to 14 business days. The average time to most capital cities is within 3 business days CLICK HERE to view the exact delivery times to your area.
Where do you deliver and what are the arrangements?
We deliver wines Australia-wide, but please note we are not currently delivering to the NT, pending compliance with requirements on the supply of alcohol to remote communities in the Territory.
Most orders will be delivered to your door, however in rural or remote areas, the delivery will be left at the nearest Australia Post office or freight depot, and you will be notified to collect your delivery from there.
If you supply us with an “authority to leave” when placing your order, and you are not home at the time of delivery, your wine will be left in a secure place on the premises.
A signature is required on all other deliveries. The person taking collection of the delivery must be 18 or over. If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the courier will leave a note for later collection by you from the nearest local Post Office, where you will be required to supply a valid form of photo identification showing that you are over 18 and resident at the delivery address (usually a drivers licence).
If the order is not collected within 10 working days, it will be returned to Mates Wines and NO REFUND will be available.
Am I able to track my delivery?
Yes. You will receive a delivery tracking number via email once your order has been shipped.
What happens if I am not home to take delivery?
If you are not at home at the time of delivery, and you have supplied us with an “authority to leave” at the time of your order, the delivery will be placed in a safe location on your property, according to your instructions. Alternatively, wines can also be delivered to your workplace.
Who can accept the delivery?
Per legal requirements, Mates Wines will not deliver wines to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID, then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine, and it will be left at your nearest local Post Office for collection by someone with a valid photographic ID.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure payments via Visa, Mastercard or Paypal. Account holders can also make a direct credit into their account. We are also able to set up corporate credit accounts for business customers.
Are my details secure on your website?
